Stephen, is a horticulturalist with a BSc and MSc degree from JKUAT (Kenya) and boasts of 20 years of experience in the agricultural sector. He is the CEO of the Eastern Africa Farmers Federation (EAFF), and is in charge of implementing its 2021-2028 strategic plan focused on scaling Farmer Entrepreneurship. The EAFF, comprises of 23 national farmer unions across 10 countries with 20 million members, and advocates for the prosperity of farmers' through representation, lobbying, and capacity building.

Engaged in various boards, he serves as a Board member of RUFORUM, EAFF, a member of the High Level Advisory Panel (HLAP) – ASARECA, EAC Standards committee, and the Society of Crop Advisors & Agronomist Association of Kenya. He is in the Steering Committees on East Africa Climate Smart Agriculture with FAO and IDRISSI project with IGAD. Stephen's extensive involvement reflects his commitment to agricultural development and enhancing farmers' resilience and prosperity across Eastern Africa.
