George is a career banker of over 20 years having worked in Equity Bank since 2001 and holding different positions during his tenure.
Over the years, he has worked with rural and agricultural communities and contributed immensely in development of a vibrant Food & Agriculture Department at Equity Bank Kenya. He has been involved in key activities relating to critical resources mobilization and organization and was key in establishing the current Food & Agriculture Strategy for the Bank. He is also involved in development of agricultural value chain financing products and solutions for the Bank. As the General Manager, Food & Agriculture Banking, he oversees building and coordinating a strong human capital to deliver the Food & Agriculture aspirations of Equity Bank. George is passionate about financing of agricultural value chains, strengthening smallholder financing and championing of food security through engaging of Medium and Large investments in Agriculture sector. George is a trained Accountant, he has a BCom in Entrepreneurship and a Diploma in Enterprise Development. He is currently undertaking MBA in the University of Cumbria. George has gone through several certifications as an Agricultural Value Chain Finance Expert, among others.
