Dr. Lilian Wanjiru Mbuthia-Matoke is a young and passionate soil scientist whose special interest is in Agricultural Management Practices that enhance Soil Fertility, Sustainable Crop
Production and Environmental Quality. She just currently started a new role as the CEO for Fertilizer Association of Kenya (FA-K) after 8 years of working with Israel Chemical Ltd (ICL Fertilizers). In her new role, she has the task of shaping and stewarding FAK towards industry best practices geared towards sustainable fertilizer use, integrated soil fertility and soil health; Advocating for policies and regulations that enable conducive, competitive and innovative business and market environment; and ensuring FA-K is well positioned as an influential voice within the public and private sector on matters soil fertility and soil health.
