Sheila Keino

Sheila Keino is a seasoned leader in African agriculture with over 20 years of experience spanning fieldwork and executive roles. Currently the Executive Director of Sustain Africa, an IFDC initiative, Sheila has spearheaded agricultural initiatives across 18 Sub-Saharan African countries, focusing on program management, partnerships, and resource mobilization. Her career includes impactful roles at AGRA, IOM, UNHCR, the World Agroforestry Centre, and Citibank. As a farmer growing coffee, macadamia, wheat, and beans, she understands the challenges and successes of farming, enabling her to effectively communicate the farmer’s narrative to diverse audiences and policymakers. Sheila champions sustainable livelihoods and rural development.
