Prof. Hamadi Boga is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience as a scientist, academic, and government technocrat. He previously served as the Principal Secretary at the State Department for Crop Development and Agriculture Research, and as Vice Chancellor of Taita Taveta University (TTU). He has extensive experience in building institutions and relationships with key government officials and agencies, development partners/donor agencies, local and international academic institutions, scientific research organizations and external stakeholders to ensure that goals are met and exceeded.
Prof. Boga is widely recognized for his strategic leadership in agriculture policy and fundraising, particularly in spearheading the development and implementation of Kenya’s 10-year Agricultural Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy.
