Neil is a Partner at Open Capital and leads the Agriculture and Food Systems Practice, based in Nairobi. Over the last 10+ years he has supported hundreds of African agribusinesses, with strategic, operational and financial advisory, to accelerate their growth and raise capital. His experience further includes designing and leading many large, multi-year agriculture market systems and private sector development programs on behalf of clients such as AfDB, USAID, FCDO and UN, across the continent. Through this work he brings uniquely deep experience in market assessments, program and innovation design and implementation, and business support delivery. Working closely with the African Development Bank team, he oversees the Agri-SME Support Program for the Agri-Food SME Catalytic Financing Mechanism (ACFM), a 2-year program supporting over a hundred agri-SMEs across the continent to catalyze growth, increase climate resilience, and promote gender inclusion. Neil is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with an MBA (Hons) from Melbourne Business School and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Business & Economics from Wiesbaden Business School.
