Daniel Munyambu

Daniel brings over 14 years of experience in the banking industry, with a specialized focus on agribusiness financing for more than a decade. His expertise spans large corporates, mid-corporates, SMEs, and retail sectors. In his current role at Absa Bank Kenya Plc, Daniel is responsible for steering and advising the bank’s agribusiness strategy, driving business development, crafting risk acceptance criteria, and leveraging value from strategic partnerships.
Daniel is dedicated to achieving high-impact socioeconomic outcomes, demonstrating thought leadership, and providing sound investment analysis and decision-making. He excels in adding value while working with both Agri MSMEs and corporate clients. His commitment to sustainable practices, ensuring food security for the current generation without compromising future generations, and promoting gender equality are central to his professional ethos.
Daniel holds an Undergraduate Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Public Secretary, holds certifications in Agricultural Lending from AKIB and Certification in Climate Finance from Frankfurt School.
